Our Mission
Providing education, nurture and the basic necessities of life to the poorest children
We help in several communities where HIV/Aids, malaria and malnutrition are major concerns.
The BrightHope program is delivered through the local Baptist Churches in Kyamulibwa, a rural area about 35 km north of Masaka. They work hard to support the local communities with very limited resources.
Subsistence agriculture is the way of life in Uganda. Put simply when rain does not come food gets scarce. The average income is just US$10 per month.
When there’s no income, there are no fees and no schooling

Following the first special visit from Australia to Uganda in 2003, Gwennyth and Lyn saw a tremendous need among the children and families in the Masaka, Uganda region of Africa. BrighthopeUganda has been set up for these beautiful children and families. Since then we have seen considerable development. we started with two projects: a house for some widows and their children and a goat breeding program. Since then we have helped with things like buying a diary cows, mozzie nets and bedding for kids. We have acquired land, built and repaired classrooms and replaced a school toilet block.
